Gov’s birthday wish is genuine peace and development

DAVAO ORIENTAL — Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang wishes for genuine peace and development for the province.

During a simple surprise birthday celebration staged by his family and staff at the Provincial Capitol on Monday, January 23, 3017, he said there’s nothing that he wants more than for his province to achieve true and long-lasting peace that has long been desired by the people.

Governor Dayanghirang, who will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow, January 24, 2017, thanked the Capitol employees for supporting the thrusts of his administration and believing in his vision for the province.

He also thanked the provincial government department heads and agencies whose all-out support led to the successful implementation of his flagship program Nagkakaisang Lingkod-Bayan ng Davao Oriental Barangay Outreach Caravan, which became an important venue for the government to reach the province’s poor constituents living in marginalized communities.

Furthermore, he thanked the men and women of the Philippine Army and the Philippine National Police who backed his programs on peace and development.

Present during the celebration were top officials of the Philippine Army here in the province headed by newly installed Brigade Commander of the 701st Brigade Col. Reuben Basiao; Davao Oriental Provincial Police Office headed by Provincial Director PSSUPT Harry Espela; and the Department of Interior and Local Government headed by Provincial Director Yvette T. Sunga.

During the celebration, the Provincial Government department heads performed a special song number while the Capitol workers wished the Governor a happy birthday.

Highlighting the simple celebration is the birthday message of the Governor’s wife, Ms. Nanette Dayanghirang, and the surprise appearance of his children. PIO
