    A. Pagkain at Kita

    A.1  Food on Every Table

    This program is the viable strategy to counter offensive the re-current poverty incidence affecting the small farming and fisherfolk households.  This project will ensure food sufficiency and income of poor farming families and allow them to save for their future.  

    Vegetable Development Program

    Livestock and Poultry Development

    The program shall promote an increase in the productivity and sufficiency of rural-based livestock and poultry in the province.  It shall mainly contribute to poverty alleviation, self-employment and income generation especially among rural households.

    Aquaculture & Fishery Development

    The program’s objective is to obtain the maximum sustainable yield from the provincial fishery resources.  And shall support the expansion of fishery production and improve productivity and utilization of food resources.

    Rice Sufficiency Program

    Barangay Goat Enterprise Development Project

    This program is a barangays-based livestock enterprise program whose aim is to elevate goat raising from a subsistence type of farming activity into a profitable venture through innovative goat production system.

    Food Sufficiency Program

    The program shall boost the existing food sufficiency efforts by empowering families, not only to produce their own food, but also to generate income from their produce.  As such, production and income are in support to the present administration’s thrust of having adequate food and increasing livelihood income especially among poor households.


     A.1  Livelihood for All

    Agri-business Development

    Is one of the priority economic agenda in support to the developmental thrusts and priorities of the province. It shall aggressively implement agri-industry development strategies of defined potential commercial commodities such as rubber, abaca, coconut, cassava and goat enterprise.  It also involves processing of by products of abaca, rubber, cassava, banana, coconut, and other crops for added value and creation of household enterprises.

    Coconut Industry Development

    This project offers an opportunity to develop and expand coconut-based production in the province by capacitating and strengthening coconut-based farming through the protection, sustenance and rehabilitation of coconut trees as well as provide trainings and technical assistance to farmers in the growth and marketing of this commodity.  This project aims to develop the latent potential of Davao Oriental in coconut production as well as provide decent livelihood and income.

    Abaca Industry Development

    A promising industry that could help generate income for the benefit of the constituents.  This sector protected and promoted thru technology development, possible establishment of a tissue culture laboratory, pest management, etc.  Also, expansion of areas of plantation shall be done to increase production.

    Small and Medium Enterprise Development

    This program shall sustain the micro, small and medium enterprise programs and activities which shall include the conduct of entrepreneurial and skills trainings, MSME coordination, counseling, advocacy and firm level assistance.

    Rural Entrepreneurship Edvocacy towards Change (REACH) Program

    A program on economic performance and cultural values focusing on the development of culture of wealth and enterprise.  Beneficiaries of livelihood and agri-business programs shall go through the process of entrepreneurial values and skills trainings, orientation and advocacy.

    Technology, Livelihood and Cooperative Development

    This program shall support the livelihood agenda thru skills and livelihood trainings of the urban poor sector.  There is also an inherent need for the development of micro-enterprise since the province is endowed with so many resources.  Trainings, workshops, loan assistance and other related activities are incorporated in this program.

    B. Tourism Industry Development

    This program aim to intensively promote the tourism industry of the province.  Promotion is commonly done through advertisements with the use of videos, paper publications and radio announcements to attract tourists to experience and enjoy the beauty of the province, and also to encourage investors to put up business, contributing to the development of the province.

    Investment Promotion and Industry Development

    This program shall support investments and trade promotional activities of the province.  Other related activities are export promotion and attraction of direct investors to sustain a flourishing economy for the province.

    Comprehensive Skills Development Program for TVET Sector

    This program shall be sustained in order to strengthen the capacity of the province to provide employment for students of TESDA.  This ensures support to the national goal of generating employment and shall strengthen the capacity of TESDA in providing the necessary skills training.  The program shall encompass skills assessment and certification, employment/placement assistance, and administrative and technical facilitation activities.

    C. Welfare for the Deserving

    Aid, Relief and Rehabilitation Services for Displaced People

    Gender and Development (Women and Children)

    Support to Hunger Mitigation Program

    Food assistance to indigent families living at the remotest area of the province.

    Senior Citizens & Persons with Disabilities

    This forms part of the aid that will be given to senior citizens and persons with disabilities for food assistance, especially those who have been abandoned or have been separated from their families who have no means of supporting themselves.
