701st Infantry Brigade Joins the Reservists Clean-Up Drive


MATI CITY, Davao Oriental — The 701st Infantry (KAGITINGAN) Brigade together with the Reservists from the Army and Navy conducted a Joint Clean-Up Drive and Environmental Protection at the coastal area of Sitio Magsaysay, Brgy Central here on December 4, 2016.


Considered a pioneering project which taps collaborative efforts from various sector, the activity is part of the citizen’s social responsibility and health awareness program. The group intends to expand participation of other sectors of the society in socio and civic welfare efforts in line with the spirit of “Bayanihan” and Civil Military joint operation approach.

The clean-up drive which was participated by more than two hundred nineteen (219) volunteers coming from the different organizations in Mati City and residents has resulted in the fast disposal of trash and garbage’s along coastal area.


The activity was attended by Colonel Bienvenido R Datuin Jr INF (GSC) PA, 701st Brigade Commander; LTC Ronie I Morimoto, Commander 1104th CDC; Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) of  Mati City headed  Hon. Antonieto Arles and Hon. Arlene Macaubos of Brgy Central, Mati City.


Colonel Datuin in his message, said, “We are thankful to the cooperation of Barangay Officials as well as our Reservists in the Clean-Up Drive and Environmental Protection at the coastal area here in Mati City.
